Goblin-Made Mayhem: A Festive One-Shot for Your Christmas Table

The village is aglow with warm lantern light, the tavern fires roar, and the smell of roasted meats fills the air. The townsfolk have spent days preparing the annual Winter Feast, laying out grand banquet tables, decorating the hall, and proudly displaying a towering Christmas tree in the heart of the tavern.

But on the morning of the celebration… disaster. The feast hall is in chaos. Platters are empty. Decorations have vanished. The Christmas tree is missing baubles, and the banquet tables bear only crumbs. The culprit? A chaotic band of goblins who’ve stolen the entire Christmas dinner – and anything shiny enough to catch their eye.

This one-shot is perfect for a fun, festive session full of mischief, wintery mayhem, and slapstick encounters. And with the models from our Christmas collection, you can bring every moment to life.

Setting the Scene: Inside the Festive Tavern

Bring the Winter Feast to life by building the party’s starting location with these key Christmas pieces:

  • Royal Banquet Tables – the centrepiece of the feast hall, laid out with goblin-disturbed dishes and crumbs.
  • Christmas Tree Miniature – once proudly decorated, now slightly askew thanks to mischievous goblins.
  • Tavern Terrain Set – creates a cosy, rustic tavern hall with seating, bar space, and areas for hiding clues, spilled food, or sneaky goblins.
  • Tasty Treats – perfect for adding extra platters of food that aren’t attached to the tables. Miniature candies and drinks bring a playful, interactive element as the party chases the goblins through the tavern.

Together, these pieces create a lively, interactive feast hall that’s perfect for investigation, combat, or festive hijinks – and instantly communicates the cosy chaos of a Christmas celebration gone wrong.

Main One-Shot Adventure: The Great Goblin Feast Heist

Just hours before the Winter Feast, a ragtag gang of festive goblins – joined by a small, grumbling band of opportunistic Orcs – sneak into the tavern and swipe all the food, decorations, and a suspicious amount of cutlery. The goblins dart through the hall with gleeful mischief while the Orcs lumber behind, grabbing anything heavy or breakable. They leave a trail of crumbs, pine needles, and half-chewed treats as they drag their loot into the snowy wilderness.

The players must track the combined goblin-and-Orc crew, recover the feast, and return everything before the villagers lose hope – and before the goblins eat, the Orcs crush, or both “creatively repurpose” the stolen food.
